Gotye commissioned a music video for the single "Hearts a Mess" from his album "Like Drawing Blood". In the video, a pied piper character walks the Earth, calling on its strange inhabitants to leave the wasted planet and follow him to a new world. pictureDRIFT developed a concept that would enhance the dark romanticism of the track whilst feeding a developing curiosity in 3d character development and animation.Time-lapse photography was used to create the background environments.
