How to save streaming .flv movies on your mac (2)

- you will need Quicktime Pro.
- you will need the free perian plugin to play flash movies in quicktime.
- you go to the page on youtube with the movie you want to save.
- you copy the url.
- you go to www.savevid.com and paste the url.
(you have to type this url manually because I do not wish to be
traced by them directly:-)
- you follow their instructions and download the file.
(it is called get-video)
- you rename the file and add the .flv extension to it.
- the flashmovie plays now in quicktime. (if you have installed the perian plugin)
- with the save as command you can make it a .mov file.
- good luck.
