Just recieved a mail from a good friend at LUXLOTUSLINER gmbh

I am getting in touch with you in case you or colleagues are planning to
attend the PROMAX BDA conference in Prague the 23rd and 24th of March.
We founded LUXLOTUSLINER gmbh, a VELVET breakaway company in 2007, a team
made up of experienced creative directors /designers and young new talent. I
have attached our company profile.
We have been working actively in the TV design area with on a variety of
projects from corporate branding packages for private commercial to public
TV networks to News and Current Affairs programme packages to sets and
print packages.

Strange storytelling - I love Alaska

August 4, 2006, the personal search queries of 650,000 AOL (America Online) users accidentally ended up on the Internet, for all to see. These search queries were entered in AOL's search engine over a three-month period. After three days AOL realized their blunder and removed the data from their site, but the sensitive private data had already leaked to several other sites.
I love Alaska tells the story of one of those AOL users. We get to know a religious middle-aged woman from Houston, Texas, who spends her days at home behind her TV and computer. Her unique style of phrasing combined with her putting her ideas, convictions and obsessions into AOL's search engine, turn her personal story into a disconcerting novel of sorts.
Over a period of three months, a portrait of a woman emerges who is diligently searching for likeminded souls. The list of her search queries read aloud by a voice-over reads like a revealing character study of a somewhat obese middle-aged lady in her menopause, who is looking for a way to rejuvenate her sex life. In the end, when she cheats on her husband with a man she met online, her life seems to crumble around her. She regrets her deceit, admits to her Internet addiction and dreams of a new life in Alaska.

Fix
a film by Tao Ruspoli.
Shot in the first person by the actors in the film, Fix is a one day odyssey through the myriad worlds of Los Angeles as documentary filmmakers Bella (Wilde) and Milo (director Tao Ruspoli) race to get Milo's brother Leo (Andrews) from jail to rehab before 8pm, or Leo goes to prison for 3 years. Inspired by true events, we follow the trio as they document their trip from a suburban police station in Calabasas through mansions in Beverly Hills, east LA chop shops, rural wastelands, and housing projects in Watts as they attempt to raise the $5000 deposit required to get Leo into the rehab clinic. Along the way we meet dozens of colorful characters, each with their own unique perspective on Leo's larger than life personality and style, and each with their own excuse for why they cannot help out... In the end, it may take a drug deal to get the necessary funds for rehab.

The sun's gone dim.

Nikolai Galitzin was asked to do a film for one of the songs on the IBM 1401 album. He asked 4 of his filmmaker friends to come to Iceland and shoot 5 different stories, one story for each filmmaker. Then the 5 films were combined into one film, in a variation of the surrealist game of "Cadavre Exquis"
